Therapy Concepts, Inc.

Therapy Concepts is dedicated to the promotion and organization of exemplary continuing education courses for physical therapists, occupational therapists and associated health care professionals. The goal is to provide learning experiences in areas concerning musculoskeletal, neurological problems, and aspects of practice management.

Therapy Concepts was started by Joanna Goldin and Patty Pennell both practicing physical therapists. Joanna and Patty have been attendees of continuing education for many years and felt there was a need for a company that was committed to providing quality continuing education on a consistent basis in Colorado.

About Joanna and Patty
Joanna is the owner of Sport and Spine Physical Therapy. She graduated from Physical Therapy school in London, England in 1983. Since that time, she has specialized in the treatment of orthopedic patients and has worked in England, Australia and the United States. Joanna has been practicing in Denver since 1992, and has been a lecturer to other physical therapists in both the US and England. She has also been a guest lecturer at conferences of the American Physical Therapy Association.

In 2007, Joanna accepted a position with the Sony Ericsson WTA women’s professional tennis tour as a Physical Therapist and is traveling around the world to different WTA events. In addition to Physical Therapy Joanna loves to play tennis, travel, ski, and enjoy family time.
JOANNA GOLDIN, MCSP, SRP, RPT
Dr. Patty Pennell has been in practice for nearly 16 years and owns Back to Motion Physical Therapy. Her practice focuses on manual therapy of the spine and extremities with emphasis on running injuries. She has recently completed her ScD from Texas Tech University and is involved in ongoing research there.

Since the summer of 2007, Dr. Pennell has been affiliate faculty for Regis University and has recently been added as affiliate faculty for Texas Tech University. She will be presenting her doctorial research this fall at AAOMPT. Dr. Pennell is president of the Private Practice Special Interest Group and was awarded Outstanding Physical Therapist for 2007 by the Colorado State chapter.
